Lauren Palmer was orphaned at the age of nine when both of her parents died as a result of Infected blood.
Her father, Stephen, had been infected with HIV and Hepatitis B and C as a result of blood products used to treat his haemophilia from 1979.
He was diagnosed with HIV in 1985 but his wife, Barbara, only found out in 1991 that she was also infected and had contracted HIV from him. Both of her parents died within 8 days of each other.
